Twice a year we have a radio ratings period. During this time we do everything we can to promote our stations.
One of the elements we’ve added in recent years is broadcast TV Advertising. The first time, we outsourced them, but starting last fall I took on the projects. We have full HD capabilities here, so it just made sense to do them in house.
We are running spots for 3 stations. Star 104.3, News Radio 570 WWNC, and 99.9 Kiss Country. I’ve posted the final products below. Each one has a different marketing angle, from promotional driven to station branding. It was a nice change of pace to get to work on these.
One thing is for sure, it’s a lot harder to make a good :15 commercial then people thing. I gained a lot of respect for the creative department at production companies during the process. Enjoy.

That verse completely wrecked me today. I know in my life so many times I try and take control of a situation or “follow my heart”. You’re heart is just going to lead you into paths of destruction and pain. At Newspring we did a series called 5 Lies of the Devil. One of those lies was, Just Follow Your Heart. You can watch that message here.
Jesus wants us to stare upon his face for answers and guidance. He’s written out the road map. We have the perfect life of Jesus modeled for us, but our sinful nature causes us to go a stray from that. We start focusing on “me” instead of “him”. What can “I” do to make this situation better? What can “I” do to fix this? This path always leads us somewhere we do not want to be. I know in my life its hard to release control and truly give it all to him. I mean REALLY give it all to him. Not say, Lord this is yours. Well … except for …. that … and … this … and oh wait I wanna hold on to this too. We have to give him EVERYTHING. Complete surrender. When that moment comes and we can give God EVERYTHING, we will look back and ask ourselves .. How did I ever think I could possibly do that on my own?
I’ve posted below what I consider the anthem for my life right now. It is Hillsong – With Everything. Watch the video with a open heart and open mind. Once you finally choose to give God EVERYTHING, its amazing what he will do.
I absolutely love what the worship guys (and now girl) are doing at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC. They have 2 albums out already and according to their blog, they will be tracking another album sometime in February. For the past 2 series they have been writing songs that are relevant to the messages that Pastor Steven has been delivering. It’s great to see worship leaders take so much passion in helping leverage the gospel through music. It really does make a difference.
