My church (NewSpring) is releasing a new worship album.

No Other Name.

A group of songs all birthed out of the heart of our church.

It’s been amazing to sing some of these songs for years now, and finally see the rest of the word get to experience them.

The album will be available on iTunes.

A free concert is going to be held at the Anderson campus on Saturday night at 7.

I’m talking about a bill on the fast track in the House right now, that could change the way we use the internet forever.

The bill is called PIPA (Protect IP Act).

Its cousin bill called SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) got pulled from the house floor.

Just how bad is PIPA? ..

Let’s just say that sites like Facebook and Twitter could potentially be shut down because of user posted content.

To show support for the bill, Wikipedia is shutting down the English version of their site for 24 hours.

It’s easy for us to look at stupid mistakes we’ve made and let that                                                   allow us to feel separated from God.

I always hear people say, and they act like it’s a joke, but I know they feel it to be true is ..

“If I ever set foot in a church it would burn down.”

Guess what .. it won’t.

It’s an amazing thought that is so hard to wrap our minds and hearts around.

Isn’t it funny how we “plan” things, and it never goes like we plan.

I didn’t plan on ever leaving NewSpring Church. Ever.

I didn’t plan on leaving my family and friends.

I didn’t plan on moving to Nashville.

I didn’t plan on the break-up.

I didn’t plan on having to go to the funeral.

I didn’t plan on buying a new car.

I didn’t plan on having to make new friends.

I didn’t plan on having the argument that ruined the friendship.

I didn’t plan on the extra expenses.

I didn’t plan on any of it.

Don’t plan for 2012. Prepare.

Prepare for the unexpected.

Prepare everyday.

Prepare where your able to finically handle the unexpected expense.

Prepare to say I’m sorry.

Prepare for people to let you down.

Prepare to love when it’s hard.

Prepare to be strong when you want to be weak.

Prepare to have your heart broken.

Prepare for change.

Life never comes easy, but it always comes fast.

Mentally, emotionally, and financially prepare.

Preparation looks different for everyone, but whatever that is for you. Do it.

The first thing I love about the campaign is that the slogan and tag line doesn’t have to be explained or put into context. It’s a powerful statement on its own. Take a second to check this out, and then pass it on. Things like this can change, but it takes us to make it happen. The goal of the campaign is to bring awareness to over 1 million people, will you help?
