HDR of Henderson County Courthouse

I’ve always thought HDR photos were cool, but never found a practical use for one.

I needed to take a photo of the Henderson County Courthouse for a project at work. (I’ll update with what the project was after we get it finalized)

After getting all the shots I wanted .. I thought, this would be the perfect time to try ouy a HDR photo, it might actually work for this application. I took the photos from a few different angles, but ended up going with this one in the end. This is a lower res version, full scale is coming in the future updated post.

I’d love any feedback anyone has.

Spring 2010 TV Spots

Twice a year we have a radio ratings period. During this time we do everything we can to promote our stations.

One of the elements we’ve added in recent years is broadcast TV Advertising. The first time, we outsourced them, but starting last fall I took on the projects. We have full HD capabilities here, so it just made sense to do them in house.

We are running spots for 3 stations. Star 104.3, News Radio 570 WWNC, and 99.9 Kiss Country. I’ve posted the final products below. Each one has a different marketing angle, from promotional driven to station branding. It was a nice change of pace to get to work on these.

One thing is for sure, it’s a lot harder to make a good :15 commercial then people thing. I gained a lot of respect for the creative department at production companies during the process. Enjoy.
